USAGE: We use Present Continues Tense to talk about continuing actions. We also call it as present progressive tense.
The form is : am/is/are + V (ing)
Examples: +I am reading newspaper +He is watching TV +She is playing with her toys +It is barking in the garden (the dog:) +We are listening to music +You are making a cake, aren’t you? +They are helping us in our project *****As in the examples all of the positive progressives are formed as SUBJECT + AM/IS/ARE + VERB(ING) +(……………..) We may use an object or may not. It changes according to situation.
To make a positive progressive sentence into a question one we change the place of (subject) and (am/is/are)- as in the example Julia is crying to go out. X Is Julia crying to go out? We may place any of the Wh- question words in front of these question sentences.
What is Julia crying for? Who is crying? Where is Julia crying? etc.
To make a progressive sentence negative we place not after (am/is/are)
